MetaBabble.net is currently home to "Meta Interdimensional" -- an interdimensional travel agency. The finest of its kind(s), or so we assumed. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, the Agency will remain closed temporarily. Here're some data for you to access:

[New] The Junk Depository - The flotsams and jetsams that washed up our dimensional shore. Maybe you'll find something useful?

Magic 8-Ball - Is something troubling you in the form of a yes-or-no question? If so, visit the resident Magic 8-Ball and let it ease your mind.

Below are some postcards from the past. Please browse them at your leisure.

Inner Shadow
[2002.09.02] I was going for what I thought was the style used in the game Yoshi's Island. Anyway, this is what I considered "angst-ware". Here, as well, is a beta variant.

Avalon
[2002.06.24] This is stereotypical medieval imagery. This image borrowed from StarChaser's concept in the form of that dark landmass/hillside in the foreground. I enjoy employing silhouettes (for not just the reason that I don't have to color or detail 'em). I also like mist. ^_^

Will o' the Wisp
[2002.04.23] The Wacom tablet I ordered has recently arrived. I read some tutorials and gave it a spin. This was the result. Until now, making countless grass-blades and leaves was a very tedious task. But now, with this Wacom Lawn-O-Matic™, it is a snap!

[2002.03.30] Mr. Tonberry has found an unwilling friend. Can you spot the hidden Cactaur?

Journey D
[2002.02.19] Tried my hands at digital coloring again. Unfortunately, the original sketch was flawed to begin with. The arm is abnormally small, and I've never drawn a horse before (nor do I want to again). This holds a reference to an anime called Vampire Hunter D. You should check out the movies (there are two, I think). If you don't know what VHD is, its setting is sorta reminiscent of Castlevania. Variation 1 | 2.

Cosmic Rebirth
[2001.09.08] This was made from a capture of a default WinAmp visualization plugin. Pieces were rearranged to form the head of the Phoenix. It's not altogether a good pic, but look at the date of completion. It was three days before the world changed. Has it changed? Some say it did, but ... "the more things changed, the more they stay the same". Some also said there existed potential for a grand rebirth of the nation itself, and perhaps the world ...

[2001.08.10] This was an attempt to create a scene I saw in a dream. It's kinda plain.

DesertHighway-Night
[2000.10.16] Started as an image of a dry-dry desert at noon. However, I couldn't find any of the rendered daytime scenes agreeable, so I inverted the sky and thus changed day to night. That would explain the hole in the sky you see above the sand dune -- it used to be the sun. The process seems to have given the image a surreal feel, it was commented.

Airship Model
Airship Model
[2000.09.29] For newer Final Fantasy fans among you, airships used to look more like galleons and not dirigibles. This one directly references FF4 with the framed picture of that FF's Cid on the desk. Check here for a never-before-seen Piratespeak referencing manual.

Starchasers
[Early 2000] My second computer-aided image. It references Final Fantasy V. On the whole, people really disliked this picture. And for good reason too -- it was poorly executed. This, too, was lost in the Great Hard Drive Crash of 2000. I also want to go back and recreate this concept from scratch now that I have better hardwares, softwares, and wee bit of experience in the ol' noggin ("wetware").

Flooded Tower
[Late 1999] This is my first attempt at computer graphics. I had hoped to go back to it one day to remake using the same concept, but the Great Hard Drive Crash of 2000 placed it on the backburner indefinitely. All original files were lost. I still have the image because I had uploaded it to the old Customize.org.

[2000.09.xx] Was just messing around with the Universe ... program. Colorful, yea?

[2000.09.xx] This was a test of volumetric materials. The purple and green cloud-like masses is the result. The render-job on those took an entire weekend, I remembered, on my previous computer. Yet, only part of the image was usable.

Here's a 'water-colored' version of the Airship Model picture found above:

More to come later, hopefully: Choice vacation spots in the outer-realms, great prices! Traveller's check and Altarian meta-dollars welcomed!

Drive safely and watch out for those nasty interdimensional mega-potholes. Goodbye everybody!
